By using or visiting this website, you are accepting the terms, conditions and practices described in this Privacy Statement. Personal Information“Personal Information” means personally identifiable information that RoomChecks collects from visitors to this website. RoomChecks may compile and use Personal Information to inform visitors of new products and services that may be of interest to them. RoomChecks will not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose Personal Information to third parties for commercial purposes. RoomChecks collects information about the areas and pages of this website used by visitors and information on the hardware and software being used by visitors, such as operating system, browser version and size of screen. Audit Data“Audit Data” means information provided to RoomChecks in the course of an audit that can be used to identify an entity or individual, including but not limited to, a name (entity or first and last name), physical address, company affiliation, telephone number, email address or other contact information, and related information, including but not limited to, arrival/departure information, reservation source, and room rate. RoomChecks uses appropriate technology measures to ensure privacy protection and confidentiality of all Audit Data. We provide a unique account password to each user for each audit, which ensures that the user is the only party that can access the data it has uploaded. The event sponsor has access only to the registration list that it uploads; each hotel being audited has access only to the guest list that it uploads. No audit participant can view the Audit Data uploaded by any other participant. RoomChecks may disclose Audit Data to third parties engaged to assist RoomChecks in delivering products and services. Any such third parties will be bound by RoomChecks's privacy policy. RoomChecks will not share, sell or rent Audit Data to third parties for commercial purposes. Audit Data is retained by RoomChecks for a minimum of six months after an audit is completed. Release to Third PartiesRoomChecks will release Personal Information and Audit Data to third parties only if such release is legally required; is necessary to protect the rights, property or personal safety of RoomChecks, its customers and/or the public; or is to a successor-in-interest of RoomChecks LLC. CookiesRoomChecks may set and access “cookies” on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies enable RoomChecks’s systems to recognize your Web browser and to make your use of this website more secure and convenient. Cookies also allow RoomChecks to collect information about your activity on this website. SecurityRoomChecks maintains a secure data network utilizing industry-standard firewall and password protection systems. Access to servers containing Personal Information and Audit Data is strictly controlled and limited to certain individuals within RoomChecks and certain third parties engaged to assist RoomChecks in delivering products and services.
